Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

  • Range Forest Officer: Bachelor’s Degree in Science from a recognized University with two or more subjects (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Forestry, Agriculture).
  • Platoon Commander: Higher Secondary School Certificate (12th) or equivalent.
  • Police Constable, Forest Guard, Warden, etc.: Secondary School Certificate (10th) from a recognized Board.
  • Constable (Greaser/Electrician): 10th Pass + ITI Certificate in relevant trade (Diesel Mechanic/Fitter/Electrician) + 2 years experience.
  • Driver: 10th Pass + Valid Driving License for Heavy/Light vehicles + 2 years experience.

2. Age Limit & Relaxation

Age as on Last Date of Application: Eligibility is determined as of the closing date (13/03/2026).

  • Standard Relaxation: Govt servants get up to 5 years relaxation.
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years

About Goa Staff Selection Commission

The Goa Staff Selection Commission has been constituted in accordance with the provisions of the Goa Staff Selection Commission Act, 2019 (Goa Act 11 of 2019) for the purpose of conducting examinations and selection of candidates for appointments to the subordinate services/posts (Group “C” posts) in the Government Departments and also to provide the procedure to be followed by the Goa Staff Selection Commission, its functions and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

The Commission consists of a Chairperson and two Members. The Commission is presently based at 6th Floor, SPACES Building, Patto Plaza, Panaji Goa.
