• Educational Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical) or Technology (Electrical) from a university established or incorporated by or under a Central or State Act in India, or any other educational institution recognised as such or declared a deemed university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
  • Basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967.
  • Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
• Age Limit: Not more than 35 years as on the last date of online application (20-11-2026).

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection process involves a Preliminary Test followed by an Interview. Candidates are called for the interview after scrutiny of applications, based on preliminary test merit.

1. Preliminary Test

Duration: 180 minutes in total for both parts. Medium is Gujarati unless decided otherwise by the Commission. The test is generally held at Gandhinagar/Ahmedabad. A candidate scoring less than 15% in the preliminary test is not eligible for the interview. Candidates must attend the exam at their own expense; no TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the examination.

2. Interview

For 4 or more vacancies, the number of candidates called for interview is 3 times the number of vacancies or 20, whichever is higher. The interview carries 100 marks.

Final Selection

Final selection is based on 50% weight of preliminary test marks (out of 300) and 50% weight of interview marks (out of 100):
Final Score = (Preliminary Marks × 50/300) + (Interview Marks × 50/100)

The final result will be published within 10 working days after the interview is completed.
