High Security Animal Diseases Laboratory (HSADL) came into existence on 8th August 2014, under the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR). It is a regional center of Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI).

The vision & mission of Laboratory is to conduct research on basic & applied areas related to exotic, emerging & re-emerginganimal diseases for National importance, by providing basic mechanisms for disease occurrence, pathogen characterization of various ecological factor, diagnostics and vaccines, fundamental aspects and exotic emerging animal pathogen etc.

The prime objective of Laboratory is to update bio risk management and train manpower in the area of biosafety, biosecurity and biocontainment for handling high-risk pathogens.They conducting training program such as:
Laboratory Biosafety and Handling Animal Pathogen, Molecular Techniques for Diagnosis Animal Diseases, Diagnosis Diseases of Farm Animal and Poultry Management, Bio-risk Management and Laboratory Equipment Maintenance Training, etc.
