Applications are invited for one (01) temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under SERB project on 'Protein Nanoparticles Based Development of Universal Influenza Vaccine'. 1. Post Name: Junior Research Fellow 2. No of Post: 01 3. Project Name: Protein Nanoparticles Based Development of Universal Influenza Vaccine 4. Minimum essential qualifications: a. M.Sc. degree in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Virology/Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry with wet lab dissertation work (or minimum 6 months experience) on animal/ human diseases and having valid NET qualification (UGC/CSIR/ ICAR/ICMR/ GATE/JAM/JEST/ JGEEBILS/Bi0technology Eligibility test and test conducted in bioinformatics by Bioinformatics National Consortium) or b. M.V. Sc. Veterinary Microbiology/ Veterinary Virology/ Veterinary Immunology/ Animal Biotechnology / Veterinary Pharmacology/Animal Biochemistry Or M. Tech Degree in Biotechnology with 4 year of B. Tech Degree with wet lab dissertation work (or minimum 6 months experience) on animal /human diseases. 5. Prefereble: Candidates with prior experience in animal cell culture, and animal handling/experiments to test vaccine efficacy, however, it is not mandatory. 6. Desirable: Two years (February, 2022 to January, 2024).Initial appointment will be for one year, extendable up to 2 years subjected to satisfactory performance of the JRF 7. Salary: Rs. 31000/= PM + HRA as Per norms

High Security Animal Diseases Laboratory (HSADL) came into existence on 8th August 2014, under the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR). It is a regional center of Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI).
The vision & mission of Laboratory is to conduct research on basic & applied areas related to exotic, emerging & re-emerginganimal diseases for National importance, by providing basic mechanisms for disease occurrence, pathogen characterization of various ecological factor, diagnostics and vaccines, fundamental aspects and exotic emerging animal pathogen etc.
The prime objective of Laboratory is to update bio risk management and train manpower in the area of biosafety, biosecurity and biocontainment for handling high-risk pathogens.They conducting training program such as:
Laboratory Biosafety and Handling Animal Pathogen, Molecular Techniques for Diagnosis Animal Diseases, Diagnosis Diseases of Farm Animal and Poultry Management, Bio-risk Management and Laboratory Equipment Maintenance Training, etc.
