3. Pay Level 6, Pay Stage 1; Basic pay Rs. 35400 + admissible allowances as per Central Government norms, HQ: Mumbai.

4. Essential Qualification and Experience: Full Time Diploma in Civil Engineering (from a Govt. recognized University/Institute with aggregate of 60% marks) or equivalent grades. 2 years' experience in reputed organizations/Institutes in the field of Civil Engineering. Knowledge of use of personal computer and software used in the field of Civil Engineering.

5. Desirable Qualification and Experience: B.E/ B.Tech. Degree in Civil Engineering with prior Diploma in Civil Engineering froma Govt. recognized university/Institute. Knowledge of government tendering process, preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Cost estimation of Civil projects, preparation of measurement book, processing of bills and use of AutoCAD software. 4 years' experience in reputed organizations/institutes

6. Job Requirement: Supervision of civil and public health activities during construction works, supervision of maintenance jobs of all civil works in buildings and roads by departmental staff, preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ), preparation of estimates, processing of tenders, documentary work related with works and labour contract etc.

7. Selected candidate will have to work in the round-the-clock shift duties, if required.

The genesis of the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) can be traced to the late 1960's, when some scientists at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) got interested in the problem of improving the quality of science education in the country. These scientists, on a voluntary basis, undertook programmes in the schools of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation and in rural Madhya Pradesh. As the activities grew, a strong need was felt for institutional support, to systematically carry out field projects, do relevant basic research in science education, and to bring out good educational materials.

Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) was established in the year 1974. It is located in Mumbai.

HBCSE is a National Centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai. The goals of the Centre are to promote equity and excellence in science and mathematics education from primary school to undergraduate college level. It carries out - Research and Development, Teacher Orientation and Science Popularisation, and Olympiads and other Students' Nurture Programmes.
It carries out Olympiad programmes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Astronomy. Another major program of the centre is the National Initiative on Undergraduate Science (NIUS).
