IIIT Ranchi Invites Application for Visiting Professor Recruitment 2022

Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi an Institute of National Importance under Ministry of Education, Government of India invites applications for Visiting Professor positions from distinguished Professors, scientists and industry professionals (both serving and retired from active service), who will bring reputation to the institute, add valuable expertise and practical knowledge and complement the knowledge pool of existing faculty.

1. Post Name: Visiting Professor

2. IIIT Ranchi at present offering the following under graduate (UG) and post graduate (PG) programs: B. Tech (Hons.) Computer Science and Engineering B. Tech (Hons.) Electronics and Communication Engineering B. Tech ECE with specialization Embedded Systems and IoT B. Tech CSE with specialization Data Science and Artificial Intelligence M. Tech in Embedded System and IoT M. Tech in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Ph.D.

3. Essential Qualifications & Experience : The person should have Ph.D. with first class at the preceding degree or equivalent with very good academic record throughout with minimum 15 years teaching and research and/or industrial experience of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Professor in IITs, IISc Bangalore, IISERs and NITs or at an equivalent level in any such other Indian or foreign institution / institutions of comparable standards. OR A person having more than 15 years of industrial experience with minimum post graduate degree with commendable experience in research and development aspects in relevant areas.

4.  Required Area of Specializations Are as Follows: Electronics and Communication Engineering Computer Science and Engineering Mining, Petroleum, Steel and Software Industry in Information and Communication Technology. Mathematics: Management : Experience to teach Ethics and Human Values, Management Concepts and Organizational Behavior, Entrepreneurship Development, Professional Communication Skills, Foreign Language, etc.,

5. The post will carry a consolidated honorarium of ₹ 100000/- (one lakh) per month.

Selection Procedure

1.This shall not ensure short-listings for Interview / Selections. A short-listing criterion may be set higher than the minimum advertised.

2. The Institute has the right to set higher norms than minimum while shortlisting, taking into account the specific requirements of the Institute and shall be binding on all the applicants. The short-listing norms may not be uniform across the posts of the institute.

3. The short-listed candidates may be required to appear for Skype Interview/ Presentation/Written Test in the respective departments, in addition to facing the Selection Committee. No TA/DA will be paid for attending Presentation/Written Test/Interview.

4. The list of candidates short listed for further participation in the selection process such as Skype Interview/ Presentation/Written Test/Interview etc. will be displayed on the above website. No separate communication/intimation in this regard shall be made by the Institute.
