Educational Qualification: M.A
International Institute for Population Sciences is an autonomous organization under the administrative control of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. IIPS is engaged in education, training, research, and consultancy in the area of population research. The Institute invites applications for the following posts on an ad-hoc basis:
1. Post Name: Research Assistant
2. Consolidated Salary per month: Rs.30,000/- to Rs.40,000/- per month (salary will be fixed depending on the Education Qualification and Experience)
3. Educational Qualification : Master in Population Studies/ Demography/ Biostatistics/ Public Health
4. Desirable: Ph.D. in Population Studies/ Demography/Biostatistics/ Public Health
5. Job Responsibilities: Preparing materials for the training of PRC officials at IIPS
1. Post Name: Consultant
2. Consolidated Salary per month: Rs. 50,000/- per month
3. Educational Qualification : Master in Population Studies/ Demography/ Biostatistics/ Public Health
4. Desirable:
a) Ability to write Research Articles.
b) Experience in handling statistical and demographic data analyses.
c) Proficiency in analysis and demonstrated leadership in writing policy briefs or contributions to peer-reviewed publications.
5. Job Responsibilities: Preparing materials for the training of PRC officials at IIPS

Selection Procedure
1. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview.

3. Institute reserves the right to relax qualification and experience in deserving cases in view of Project requirement

The selected candidate will be provided appointment initially for a period of three months in the beginning and may be extended as per requirement. The International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, formerly known as the Demographic Training and Research Centre (DTRC) till 1970, was established in July 1956 under the joint sponsorship of Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, the Government of India and the United Nations. It serves as a regional centre for Training and Research in Population Studies for the ESCAP region. The Institute was re-designated to its present title in 1985 to facilitate the expansion of its academic activities. It was declared as a 'Deemed University' on August 14, 1985, under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The recognition has facilitated the award of recognized degrees by the Institute itself and paved the way for further expansion of the Institute as an academic institution. In 2006, the Institute celebrated its Golden Jubilee.
