Educational Qualification: M.Phil/Ph.D
Applications are invited for the position of "Senior Project Officer (Research)" in LASI Project at IIPS.
1. Name of the Post: Senior Project Officer (Research)
2. No of Post: 01
3. Roles & Responsibilities: Planning, operationalizing and coordinating the project activities and administration. Assist the team in the implementation of the tasks assigned. Data analysis, preparation of reports and necessary documentation . Any other responsibility relating to the project that may be assigned from time to time.
4. Essential: Ph.D. / M.Phil. in Population Sciences / Social Sciences / Health Sciences / Statistics / Mathematics from recognized university with minimum of four years' experience in social research and experience in handling the analysis of large-scale surveys in health/social research.
5. Desirable: Research experience/ publications on Ageing issues. Experience in handling statistical and demographic software packages. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Good data analysis, interpretation and report writing skills.
6. Salary: Rs. 60,000/- Per Month (Consolidated)
7. This is purely temporary fixed tenure project- based position. The appointment may be initially for six months period. Education qualification or work experience may be relaxed in deserving cases.

About International Institute for Population Sciences Recruitment
About International Institute for Population Sciences
The International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, formerly known as the Demographic Training and Research Centre (DTRC) till 1970, was established in July 1956 under the joint sponsorship of Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, the Government of India and the United Nations. It serves as a regional centre for Training and Research in Population Studies for the ESCAP region. The Institute was re-designated to its present title in 1985 to facilitate the expansion of its academic activities. It was declared as a 'Deemed University' on August 14, 1985, under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The recognition has facilitated the award of recognized degrees by the Institute itself and paved the way for further expansion of the Institute as an academic institution. In 2006, the Institute celebrated its Golden Jubilee.
