The post is for a fixed tenure of two years on contract. Accommodation within the IIT Tirupati campus may be provided on payment basis, subject to availability. A Certificate of Experience will be issued to candidates completing at least one year of internship.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Both of the following qualifications are required simultaneously for the Junior Library Executive post:

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or a minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent).
• Master's Degree in Library & Information Science (MLIS) with a minimum of 60% marks or a minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent).
• Year of MLIS Completion: Only candidates who completed the Master's Degree in Library & Information Science in 2024, 2025 or 2026 will be considered.

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: Up to 5 years
• OBC-NCL: Up to 3 years
• PwD: 10 years

Selection Process & Screening Clause

Candidates will be selected based on their performance in a written test, practical test, or interview. Eligible candidates will be informed about the selection process by email. The tentative date for the written test and trade test/discussion is 10 December 2026. Mere fulfilment of the qualifications does not entitle a candidate to be called for the test.

• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the written test, practical test, or interview.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to immediate disqualification of the candidate.
• The Institute reserves the right to select or not to select candidates for the advertised position.
