Applications are invited for engagement as Special Project Associate (SPA) and Project Associate on Contract basis for the project- “Feasibility Study of possibilities of Creation of Sustainable Livelihoods in Relocated and Forest Fringe Local Communities around the Protected Areas through promoting tree-based sericulture models in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh central states of India.”
1. Name of Position:
a) Special Project Associate (SPA) - 01 post
b) Project Associate (PA) - 01 post
2. No. of position: 02 (Two)
3. Period of engagement: a) SPA (Seven months) b) PA (Five months). The project involves fieldwork.
4. Emoluments:
i. Special Project Associate (SPA): Rs. 50,000/- per month (consolidated)
ii. Project Associate (PA) : Rs 30,000/- per month (consolidated)
5. Essential Qualification and Experience:
(a) For SPA, the candidate should have Post Graduate degree/ diploma in Anthropology/ Sociology/ Psychology/ Economics/ Forestry Management/ Development Management and related discipline from a recognized University/ Institute with not less than 55% marks with minimum 3 years of experiences in applied research areas.
(b) For PA, the candidate should have Post Graduate degree/ diploma in Anthropology/ Sociology/ Psychology/ Economics/ Forestry Management/ Development Management and related discipline from a recognized University/ Institute with not less than 55% marks with minimum 0-1 years of experiences in applied research areas.
6. Desirable Qualification/ Experience:
Understanding of human-natural resource interactions. Ability and willingness to engage with local communities and collect field data using social science research tools. Ability to conduct secondary research Excellent data analysis and report writing skills

The Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) was established in 1982. It is an autonomous, public institute of sectoral management located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It was established by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India and course assistance from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
