The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Sri City (IIIT Sri City), Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, has released notification IIITS/R&D/ISRORespond-DB/JRF/2026-27/01 for the engagement of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF). This appointment is strictly for a sponsored research project titled "RES-SDSC-2025-002: Space Debris RCS Estimation and dynamics Characterisation from MOTR Space Debris tracked data", funded under administrative approval from SDSR-SHAR, ISRO.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

The educational requirements for the JRF position are as follows:

• Essential Qualification:
  • B.Tech./B.E. in Electronics and Communication/Equivalent with minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA.
  • M.Tech./M.E. in RF and Microwave Engineering/Equivalent with minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA.
• Relaxation: A relaxation of 5% in marks is applicable for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
• Desirable Qualification: NET/GATE or other national-level examinations conducted by the Central Government.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electromagnetics, radar principles, RCS theoretical models, space debris dynamics, and hands-on proficiency in MATLAB/Python.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. Online Application Submission: Candidates must apply exclusively through the official Google Form by November 1, 2026.
2. Shortlisting: The institute will shortlist candidates based on academic merit and project requirements. Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee an interview call.
3. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated the interview date via email.
4. No TA/DA: No Travel Allowance or Dearness Allowance will be paid to candidates for appearing in the interview.
