Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) is looking for the services of an Advisor for all its Information Technology (IT) needs under the guidance and supervision of the Chairperson, the Computer Services Committee, and administratively reporting to the Dean (Programs).

1. Post Name: Advisor -Information Technology (IT)

2. Qualification & Experience: 

a) The Advisor - IT should have formal Masters' level qualifications (from a reputed Institute) or proven extensive background in Computer Science/ Information Technology. Professional Certificates will be an added advantage.

b) He/she should have a minimum of 20 years of professional experience out of which 10 years must be in the field of IT at a senior level.

c) It is desirable that the person suitable for this role should have direct exposure to educational institutes.

3. Professional Fees: The person selected for the position has to sign one-year professional service agreement at mutually agreeable terms and conditions with the Institute. A fixed monthly fees will be paid and the agreement may be extended for further duration as per the mutual convenience.

4. Job Description :

a) The advisor will need to contribute towards enhancing overall productivity of various academic and administrative activities by crafting an appropriate strategy for bringing new technologies to the campus and integrating these technologies with specific needs of the Institute.

b) Identifying vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, and opportunities for improvement

c) Help evolve IT vision for the Institute, associated policies and procedures.

d) Propose strategic solutions, recommend new systems, software, IT/AV Infrastructure and take it to the next level

e) Help identify viable technologies for providing online delivery and rich experience in online and hybrid Executive Programmes and Long Duration Programmes, in line with preferences and needs of IIMA
