Indian Institute Of Management Ahmedabad requires Research Assistant under Prof. Mohammad Fuad and Prof. Mayank Varshney

1. Position: Research Assistant

2. Job / Role Description:

The Research Assistant (RA) will conduct high quality research including data collection, literature search, data analysis, and manuscript writing/editing. The RA is expected to support the faculty in writing and pursue research and publish research results in journals. The RA will participate in the education program and workshops, as and when needed.

3. Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is a minimum requirement. Candidates with Master’s degrees are encouraged to apply. Candidates with prior experience in research assistance or candidates who have authored/co-authored relevant research articles would be preferred. Candidates should possess excellent written communication skills.

4. Compensation would be commensurate with qualification and experience and as per IIMA guidelines.

5. Skillset:

The RA should have excellent written and spoken communication skills. S/he should be proficient in use of MS Office (MS Excel in particular), internet/web applications, news websites, company reports, and social media. The RA should show enthusiasm in learning databases from IIMA library (online or offline).

6. Duration and Location:

a. The position will be initially offered for a period of six months and may be extended depending on performance

b. The position is based in Ahmedabad (exceptions can be considered for highly-qualified/experienced candidates and work-from-home mode of work may be adopted).

c. IIMA provides access to the library and computer center for all Research Assistants. If selected, the candidate is expected to manage their own accommodation, outside the IIMA campus which is centrally located within the city of Ahmedabad.
