IISER-Mohali (Department of Biological Sciences) desires to engage an SRF on purely temporary basis on contract under the DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance funded project at IISER-Mohali.

1. Position: Senior Research Fellow

2. No. of Positions: 01

3. Essential Qualifications:

a) Master's degree in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology with minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. Must be qualified with CSIR NET-JRF/LS, or UGC-JRF/LS, or GATE (Biology/Biotechnology) (with a valid score);

b) Must have minimum two years research experience at JRF position. Prior work experience in performing confocal microscopy and live-cell imaging experiments using mammalian cells is essential. Further the candidate should be well versed with all of the following techniques: image analysis, cell culture, protein-protein interaction assays, cloning, recombinant protein production, and yeast-two hybrid assay.

4. Emoluments per month: Rs. 35,000-/- + HRA (as applicable).

5. Duration: Initially for 1 year and extendable for 1 more year.
