The pay is disbursed directly by the PhD Cell, Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, after due process at their end. The fellowship tenure is 1 year or until the end of the project grant, whichever is earlier.
Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
Post Doctoral Fellow (PDF) – IT/ITES
- PhD Discipline: PhD in an appropriate discipline of Engineering or Science in the domain of Information Technology/Information Technology Enabled Services (IT/ITES)
- Specialization: Information/Network Security and Cryptography, specifically in Citizen-centric secure service delivery
- Academic Record: Must have obtained the PhD degree from a recognized university with first class (in terms of grades, etc.) in all preceding academic levels and a good academic record throughout
- Recency: PhD must have been completed within the past 5 years on the last date of application submission
- Publications: A proven academic record including peer-reviewed publications and recognitions
- Nationality: Indian citizen
Other Eligibility Conditions
- Applicants currently in regular (permanent) employment will not be considered
- Scientists/researchers with temporary positions in academia or research institutions may apply, but must relinquish their current roles if selected
- Applicants must NOT have completed their PhD at the same institution (host institution) where the fellowship is to be awarded
- Active industry linkages and research proposals directed toward industry-specific problems will receive preference
- SC/ST candidates will receive preference on equal qualifications and experience
