Both posts serve the externally funded project "Modulation of Gene Expression by Replication-Transcription collisions in Bacteria / Cis-regulatory adaptation by replication-transcription collisions in bacteria".
Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from a recognized University/Institution, as prescribed by the funding agency.
- Desirable Qualification (Post 01): Experience in standard molecular/microbial techniques; analyzing bacterial genomic data - WGS, RNAseq, etc.
- Desirable Qualification (Post 02): Programming in Python, SQL, R; analyzing bacterial genomic data - WGS, RNAseq, ChIP-Seq, etc.; maintaining Linux-based computer servers.
The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum. Candidates must include every relevant qualification and all experience in the application form. Meeting the minimum criteria alone does not entitle a candidate to be shortlisted.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
- Shortlisting: If the number of applications received is high, a Selection Committee shortlists candidates based on qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates receive interview information via email.
