Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Foreign Post Doctoral Fellow (PDF)

• Essential: Candidates must be Foreign Nationals. They should be fresh PhDs or PhDs with less than two years of experience. Research scholars who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting examination are also eligible.
• Experience: Less than two years of experience post-PhD is preferred, but fresh PhDs are equally eligible.
• Desirable: Strong research background in the relevant field of the academic unit.

Terms & Conditions

• The tenure is generally for one year and extendable for two more years based on satisfactory performance.
• A mentor will be assigned whose area is closest to that of the PDF.
• Academic/administrative tasks may be assigned by the Head of the Academic unit.
• Financial support is provided for one international conference (after one year) and one national conference per year.
• Relocation expenses are permitted as per Institute norms.
