IIT Gandhinagar is looking for a project manager for its Leadership Development initiative, which strives to promote leadership skills among students with workshops, modules, oneon-one consultancy, etc. The initiative also integrates with other experiential leadership opportunities and programmes during a student’s lifecycle at IITGN. The programme emphasises hands-on and practical leadership development.

1. Post Name: Project Manager, Leadership Development Initiative

2. Responsibilities:

The Project Manager will work closely and collaboratively with IITGN faculty and other stakeholders, staff, and students to organize, coordinate, and oversee leadership development programs; coordinate internal and external communication; lead the development and coordination of various reports, Website, newsletters, etc.; and support the advancement and growth of the program.

3. The Project Manager’s responsibilities include:

a. Execution of a comprehensive and dynamic leadership programme in collaboration with students and faculty;

b. Engage with and cultivate students and student groups to promote participation in LDI programs; 

c. Facilitate and implement workshops, lectures, and other training programmes and events; 

d. Develop and implement goals, objectives and project timelines;

e. Support for fiscal management, development and reporting of the programme;

f. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in developing and promoting campus-wide leadership development initiatives; 

g. Counsel students in professional development and leadership

h. Research global best practices for enhancement and strategic development of the programme; 

i. Develop evaluation mechanisms and framework, including goals and objectives, metrics, monitoring, and reporting; 

j. Strengthen partnerships with alumni and external resource people and stakeholders to advance the programme.

4. Qualifications and experience:

a. Master’s degree in management, organizational leadership, applied behavioural sciences, HR, business administration or related discipline preferred; 

b. Three years of progressively responsible professional experience in leadership development, training, organizational or policy development; 

c. Strong management, organizational, and planning skills;

d. Demonstrated ability to lead, plan, organize, evaluate and manage projects;

e. Student-centric philosophy and commitment to student success;

f. Strong interest and ability to engage with students and student groups around personal, professional and leadership development;

g. Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Position details: Contractual position 

6. Salary: Rs 50,000 to Rs 75,000 per month

7. Duration: 1 year (may be extended based on periodic performance evaluation of the candidate)
