Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E, M.E/M.Tech

Requirement for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to design and develop proteins for environmental remediation applications. This research opportunity will involve the candidate to employ light, electron and atomic force microscopy tools to validate and characterize the generation of the biomaterials including microorganisms. Finally, these biomaterials will be evaluated for their efficacy/efficiency towards their intended application.

1. Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

2. Minimum Qualification: M.Tech or B.Tech with valid GATE score from IIT/NIT or reputed Universities in Chemical Engineering/Biological Engineering/Environmental Engineering/Biotechnology/Microbiology.

3. Preferred Qualifications: Candidates should have ≈ 1 year experience in molecular biology techniques such DNA/RNA isolation, Primer design, Mutagenesis PCR, Restriction digest, Gel electrophoresis, Design and construction of recombinant vectors, Transformations of vectors Candidates should have ≈ 1 year experience in protein expression in E. coli systems This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded as necessary.

4. Duration: Initial appointment is for 6 months, extendable up to another 6 months based on performance

5. Remuneration: 25,000 to 31,000 INR per month
