Educational Qualification: M.E/M.Tech

Applications are invited under the sponsored project. The details of the project are as under:

1. Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

2. Number of Position (s): 01

3. Title of The Project: Evaluation of an evaporating nanofluid meniscus for improved performance of Heat Pipes

4. Tenure of Project: The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, which is sanctioned for a period of three years.

5. Job Description (in maximum of 100 words): The candidate has to carry out numerical and experimental investigation of the thermal performance of the Heat Pipe with different nanofluid in the context of thin-film evaporation. He has to also Impart the conjugated theoretical model which includes macro and micro level numerical modeling to complement the experimental findings and to predict the thermal performance of the heat pipe theoretically in context of thin-film evaporation.

6. Essential Qualification: The applicant should have consistent good academic record throughout. The applicant should have M. E. / M. Tech degree through GATE with specialization in Mechanical / Thermal / Heat Power / Energy / Power Plant with minimum first class or equivalent grade from a reputed institute (minimum of 60% marks/CGPA of 6.0 (on a 10-point scale)).

7. Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of Thermofluid and heat transfer analysis using CFD software packages (e.g. ANSYS FLUENT, ANSYS CFX). He should also have hands-on experience on experimental studies. Knowledge of Heat pipes and microfluidics will be added advantage.

8. Fellowship: DST Norms: Rs. 31000/- for 1st and 2nd Year and Rs. 35,000/*- tor 3rd Year.

Selection Procedure

Shortlisted candidates will be informed on the date of interview. Mere possession of minimum qualification does not guarantee an invitation to the interview. Candidates will be short listed based on their merit and as per the requirement of the project. All candidates should make their own arrangements for their stay at Dhanbad, if required. No TA/DA will be aid to attend the interview.
