Eligibility for Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Essential Qualification: Master's degree (M.Tech / M.Sc.) in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Mining Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, etc.). GATE score is necessary in the relevant discipline. Minimum academic performance as per institute norms (usually 60% or equivalent CGPA).
• Desirable Qualification: Prior research/project experience. Exposure to data analysis, programming, AI/ML, GIS, or domain-specific tools. Programming skills: Python / R / MATLAB, LLMs, document processing, text mining. Ability to prepare periodic progress reports and research papers.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit is 35 years at the time of interview.
• Age relaxation for SC/ST candidates and OBC Candidates as per GOI rules, and 2 years for candidates with research/work experience in relevant industries.
