Eligibility for Security Officer

  • Essential: Ex-Servicemen JCO (Subedar or higher rank) OR equivalent rank in other Para-military forces with minimum of 10 years’ experience in security.
  • Experience:
    • Ex-Servicemen JCO (Subedar or higher rank) with minimum 10 years’ experience.
    • Short Service Commissioned Officers/Assistant Commandant (CRPF/BSF/ITBP) in pay scale Rs. 8000-13500 with minimum 05 years’ experience.
    • Inspector from Para-Military Forces with minimum 10 years’ experience.
  • Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on 02-02-2026.
  • Physical Standards:
    • Height (Male): 167 cm (Gen), 165 cm (Hilly Area), 162.5 cm (ST).
    • Height (Female): 157 cm (Gen), 155 cm (Hilly Area), 154 cm (ST).
    • Chest (Male): 80 cm (Exp), 85 cm (Inh) for Gen/Hilly Area; 77 cm (Exp), 82 cm (Inh) for ST.
  • Nationality: Indian Citizen.

Application Fee

  • General/OBC: Rs. 500/- (Non-refundable).
  • SC/ST/Women: Exempted from fee.

Selection Process

  1. Physical & Personality Assessment Test: Qualifying in nature.
  2. Written Test: Candidates qualifying physical test will appear for the written exam.
  3. Final Merit: Based on Paper-II (Subjective) marks.

Written Test Pattern

  • Paper-I (Mental Ability): 100 Marks, 90 Mins (Objective). Threshold: 30% marks.
  • Paper-II (Subjective): 100 Marks, 2 Hours. Includes Comprehension, Report Writing, Security Regulations, General Awareness. Threshold: 35% marks.
  • Language: English/Hindi.
