Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Essential Qualification: Master's degree (M.Tech / M.Sc.) in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Mining Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, etc.). GATE score is necessary in the relevant discipline. Minimum academic performance as per institute norms (usually 60% or equivalent CGPA).
- Desirable Qualification: Prior research/project experience. Exposure to data analysis, programming, AI/ML, GIS, or domain-specific tools. Programming skills: Python / R / MATLAB, LLMs, document processing, text mining. Ability to prepare periodic progress reports and research papers.
Age Limit
- Upper age limit is 35 years at the time of interview.
- Age relaxation for SC/ST candidates and OBC Candidates as per GOI rules, and 2 years for candidates with research/work experience in relevant industries.

Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on merit. Shortlisted candidates must appear for the interview in person with original degree certificates, date of birth proof, and other relevant documents (publications, awards, experience, recommendations, etc.). The interview date and time will be communicated via email. No TA/DA will be paid.
