Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Project Scientific Assistant. Selected candidates will be required to work at Institute for Plasma Research, Bhat, Gandhinagar, Gujarat or its laboratories at GIDC, Sector – 25, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. 1. Name of the Post: Project Scientific Assistant 2. No of Post: 81 3. Tenure of Appointment: The above posts are purely temporary, for a period of two years OR shall be co-terminus with the completion of the project whichever is earlier. After two years it may be extended for a period up to one year subject to requirement of the Institute and satisfactory performance of the candidate. 4. Remuneration: ₹ 20000 plus HRA. 5. Essential Qualification: a) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Applications (BCA) b) Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering c) Diploma in Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering d) Diploma in Instrumentation/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering e) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering f) Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Physics)

1. The selection is solely based upon the performance in the interview. If required, a written test may be conducted for screening purpose only.

Institute for Plasma Research is an autonomous R & D organization under the authority of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India situated near west banks of river Sabarmati in Gujarat, India. This institute is largely involved in theoretical and experimental studies in plasma science including basic plasma physics, magnetically confined hot plasmas and plasma technologies for industrial application. The institute owns two operational tokamaks (a machine for controlling thermonuclear fusion) - ADITYA and Steady State Tokamak (SST) - 1. FCIPT, ITER-India and CPP-IPR, located in Gandhinagar and Guwahati are three divisions under IPR.
