Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Essential Qualification: Full time Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University (not applicable for candidates applying on deputation).
• Required Experience: Execution of Infrastructure Projects. Only experience gained after the minimum educational qualification counts toward eligibility.
• Desirable Experience: Railway Electric Traction Projects, General Power Supply Projects, Air Conditioning, Building Electrifications, Roads Lightings etc.

Service & Grade Criteria for Candidates

• CDA Scale Officers (On Absorption): Working in PB-3 (15600-39100) + GP 6600 (6th CPC) revised to Matrix Level 11 under 7th CPC; OR PB-2/3 + GP 4800/5400 (6th CPC) revised to Matrix Level 8/9 under 7th CPC with minimum 04 years in Group A or minimum 08 years in Group B service.
• IDA Scale Officers (On Absorption): Working in IDA Rs. 32900-58000 (2nd PRC) revised to 80000-220000 under 3rd PRC with minimum 08 years of Managerial/Executive level service; OR IDA Rs. 29100-54500 revised to 70000-200000 with minimum 02 years in current grade and 08 years Managerial/Executive service.
• Deputation – Regular CDA Officers: Senior Scale (PB-3/GP 6600 revised to Matrix Level 11) with 05 years Group A service; or Senior Scale with 8 years Group B service; or GP 5400 with 11 years in Group B service.
• Private Company Officials: Working at JGM equivalent level with gross salary of at least Rs. 1.25 Lakhs/month; minimum 12 years managerial experience; company engaged in Infrastructure Projects/Railway works with preceding year Sales Turnover of at least Rs. 200 Crores.

Age Limit: Up to 50 years (On Absorption) / Up to 57 years (On Deputation), as on 04.12.2026. IPRCL employees get relaxation equal to their length of service in IPRCL.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

Selection is based on Shortlisting followed by a Personal Interview.

• Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on their eligibility and experience in the relevant field.
• Where there are 05 or more eligible candidates for each vacancy, IPRCL reserves the right to shortlist in a ratio of 1:5.
• The interview may be conducted at the IPRCL Corporate Office, through Video Conference, or at any other location at IPRCL's discretion.
• Interview intimation will be sent via email and posted on the IPRCL website; candidates are advised to monitor the website regularly.
• Original documents of qualification, experience, and age are verified at the interview. Candidates unable to produce documents or found ineligible will be disqualified.
• Travelling expenses for appearing in the Personal Interview will be reimbursed as per Company Policy.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

• Original Matriculation Certificate as Proof of Date of Birth
• Certificates and Mark Sheets supporting Full time Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience Certificates clearly showing length and field of experience in Execution of Infrastructure Projects
• Copy of Appointment Letter for the Present Post with Valid ID Card / Current Pay Slip
• Self-Attested Copies of Last 5 Years APARs / ACRs (not applicable for Private Company candidates)
• Latest Updated Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Photo ID and Address Proof issued by Central/State Government (Passport / Aadhaar / Driving License / PAN / Voter Card)
• No Objection Certificate from Employer (for candidates in Railways, Govt. departments, Central PSUs, Ports, or JV Companies under Govt. Control)
• Copy of Audited Balance Sheet for Proof of Sales Turnover (Private Company candidates only)
• Two recent passport-size photographs and Self-attested enclosures as listed in Para 20 of the notification

How to Submit the Application

1. Fill Annexure-II (on absorption) or Annexure-III (on deputation) in full; no blank columns are permitted.
2. Affix a recent passport-size photograph on Annexure-II.
3. Write on top of the envelope: "Application for the post of Joint General Manager (Electrical)".
4. Send by post, courier, or by hand to: Chief General Manager (HR), IPRCL, 4th Floor, Nirman Bhavan, Mumbai Port Trust Building, M.P. Road, Mazgaon (E), Mumbai – 400010.
5. Government/PSU serving candidates must apply through proper channel with photocopies of last 5 years APARs.
