Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Sub-Inspector (Telecommunication)
- Essential Qualification: Refer to Annexure-A of the official notification (Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification strictly on or before the cut-off date: 13/01/2026).
- Domicile: Must be a Domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
- Experience: Refer to official notification.
Age Limit (As on 01/01/2025)
- Open Merit / Reserved Categories: 18 to 28 Years.
- In-Service Police Personnel: 18 to 30 Years.
- Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation applicable as per rules (Deduct service period from actual age; should not exceed max age by more than 3 years).
- Relaxation: Age relaxation for reserved categories is applicable as per Govt. norms.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of the following stages:
- Written Examination: Objective Type (MCQs), English Medium, Negative Marking applicable.
- Bonus Marks: Awarded for NCC Certificates (C: 5%, B: 3%, A: 2%).
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates shortlisted 6 times the vacancy ratio.
- Physical Endurance Test (PET): Qualifying in nature.
- Document Verification (DV): Original documents check.
- Medical Examination.
Physical Standards
- Male: Height: 5’-6” (Min), Chest: 32” (Unexpanded) / 33.5” (Expanded).
- Female: Height: 5’-2” (Min).
- Relaxation: Available for Gorkha and Bot Tribe communities (2”).
