The All India Institute of Speech & Hearing (AIISH), Mysore, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, has announced a recruitment drive for the post of Speech and Hearing Specialist. This is a contractual position for 12 months (extendable based on performance) at the Institute's Mother-Child Training Center for Children with Hearing Impairment (0-4 years), funded by the Department for Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizen, Government of Karnataka. This is a Direct Recruitment based on a Walk-in-Interview, not a competitive exam.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Essential: B.ASLP / M.Sc (Speech & Hearing) / M.ASLP / M.Sc (SLP).
• Mandatory: Reading & writing knowledge in Kannada.
• Desirable: 2 years of experience in the relevant field.
• RCI Registration: Valid Registration Certificate from the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) is mandatory for rehabilitation professionals. Candidature will be rejected without valid RCI registration.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 40 years.
• Age as on: The upper age limit will be reckoned as on the date of the Walk-in-Interview.
• Age Relaxation: The Director may relax the age limit in exceptional circumstances.

Mandatory Requirements

• Language: Reading and writing knowledge in Kannada is mandatory.
• Registration: Valid RCI registration is compulsory.

Selection Process

This is a Direct Recruitment process based on a Walk-in-Interview. There is no written examination.

• Selection Stage: Performance in the Walk-in-Interview.
• Decision Authority: The decision of the Selection Committee will be final.
• Document Verification: Candidates must submit all required documents (hard copy) by the deadline. Applications without photographs, signatures, and necessary certificates will be rejected.
