Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Tutor (Music):
  • Passed Class Xth and holding a Diploma or Degree in Carnatic Music from a recognized institution.
  • Able to accompany dance performances and dance dramas of Kalakshetra.
  • Must be able to read and write music notations.
  • Must be able to handle practical and theory classes.
• Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as on 23 November 2026.
• Desirable: Knowledge of a South Indian language; BH artiste of All India Radio.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. Written Test: 200 multiple-choice questions for 200 marks, duration 3 hours. Minimum qualifying mark is 100. There is no negative marking.
2. Skill Test: 100 marks practical test in Carnatic Music (Ragas, Talas, Mano dharma sangeetham) covering Vocal/Mridangam/Flute, minimum duration 15 minutes.
3. Final Merit: 40% weightage to written test marks and 60% weightage to skill test marks.

Candidates attending the skill test must bring their own musical instruments, percussion instruments, and sruti box. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the selection process.

• One extra passport-size photograph enclosed separately in a cover.

• Caste Certificate if age relaxation is claimed.
