Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Graduate Technical Apprentice: B.Tech/B.E. (Civil, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Mechanical, IT/CS) – 4‑year full‑time regular degree, passed within 5 years from 10 Nov 2026.
• Graduate Non‑Technical Apprentice: BBA, B.Com, BCA – 3‑year full‑time regular degree, passed within 5 years from 10 Nov 2026.
• Diploma Technician Apprentice: 3‑year engineering diploma (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Computer Science) – full‑time regular, passed within 5 years from 10 Nov 2026.
• ITI Trade Apprentice: ITI certificate in Electrician, Electronics, Welder, Fitter, Plumber – full‑time regular course, passed within 5 years from 10 Nov 2026.
• All candidates must be at least 18 years old on the application closing date, medically fit and must not have prior apprenticeship experience.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

KMRL will screen applications for eligibility, shortlist candidates, and conduct document verification, medical fitness and police verification. No written test or interview will be conducted. No TA/DA will be paid.

1. What is the last date to submit the apprenticeship application for KMRL 2026?
   Applications must be submitted on or before 10 November 2026 to the designated KMRL office.
2. Where should the application form be submitted and what is the mailing address?
   Submit the completed Bio‑Data Form to:

3. Is there any application fee?
   No. The application fee is Rs. 0 (Exempted).
4. What is the employment nature and duration of the apprenticeship?
   It is a training‑based apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961, for a period of one year. No permanent employment guarantee is provided.
5. What is the monthly stipend and additional allowance?
   Base stipends: Rs. 12,300 (Graduate Technical/Non‑Technical), Rs. 10,900 (Diploma Technician), Rs. 9,600 (ITI Trade Apprentice). An additional food/messing allowance of Rs. 1,200 per month is provided.
6. Are candidates eligible for permanent employment after completing the apprenticeship?
   No. Completion of the apprenticeship does not confer any right to claim permanent employment with KMRL.
