Applications are invited for Research Associate in DBT Project entitled: "Establishment of Diagnostic Centre DBT-NIDAN-Kendra at Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi" BT/ NIDAN/ 04/05/ 2018.

2. Essential qualifications:
Candidates should have PhD in any branch of Life Sciences or have 3 years research & teaching experience after M.Sc. in life sciences The candidate should have at least one year experience in running a cytogenetic and molecular genetic lab.
3. Desirable qualifications: Candidates should have a good academic and publication record
4. Salary: Rs 36,000 + 10,800 (30% of HRA) per month. No other allowances will be given.
5. The recruitment is temporary basis initially for one year or till the project lasts. However, termination if any may be carried out with one month notice from either side without assigning any reason.
6. The incumbents will have no claim for regular appointments under ICMR or LHMC or for continuation of his/her services in any other project.
7. Benefit of provident fund, HRA, CCA, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Claim etc. is not applicable. Age relaxation for SC, ST & OBC candidates as per Govt. Rules are permissible.
8. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification. No TA/DA etc. will be given to attend the walk-in-interview.

The Lady Hardinge Medical College for women was founded in 1914 to commemorate the visit of Her Majesty Queen Mary in 1911-12. Lady Hardinge the wife of the then Viceroy was the first to take initiative for starting a medical college for women, as the lack of separate medical college for women made it almost impossible for Indian women to study medicine.
The foundation stone of this institution was laid by Lady Hardinge on 17th March, 1914. Unfortunately this great lady died later in the same year and on the suggestion of Queen Mary the college and the hospital was named after Lady Hardinge to perpetuate the memory of its founder.
The college and hospital was formally opened by Lord Hardinge the then Viceroy of India on 17th February 1916. The close association of countess of Dufferin Fund Council continued over many years and senior teaching staff almost exclusively consisted of its members till India became independent.
