Educational Qualification:
Junior Clerk: Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Minimum of 30 marks in Marathi Typing and 40 marks in English Typing. Must possess a valid Government Commercial Certificate or Certificate of Typing. Required qualifications as per the policy of the Government regarding Typing Qualifications as determined from time to time.

Legal Assistant: Degree in Law from a recognized university and at least 5 years of regular service in a judicial related position in a Government/State/Local Government Institution or 5 years of experience as an advocate in a Sessions Court.

Tax Collector: Degree in any discipline with minimum 30 marks in Marathi Typing and minimum 40 marks in English Typing. Should possess a Government Certificate of Proficiency or Certificate of Proficiency in Computer Typing. Required qualification as per the policy of the Government regarding Computer Qualifications as determined from time to time.

Library Assistant: Candidates should have 10th Pass with Library Certificate Course.

Stenographer: Degree in any branch from a recognized university. Marathi and English Shorthand 80 marks examination passed. Required qualification as per the policy of the Department from time to time regarding the qualification of the candidate Marathi 40 marks and English 60 marks. Speed ​​typing test passed. Experience: 3 years experience in the post of Steno-typist in a Government/Non-Government Office. Preference if any.

Accountant / Cashier: Degree in Commerce from a recognized university. Passing Local Finance Management (DFM) Diploma from Indian Local Government Organization or passing L.G.S.D or G.D.C & A examination is preferred. Minimum 5 years regular service in the post of Clerk (Accounts) in a Government/State/Local Self Government Institution.

System Analyst: AICTE recognized degree in Computer Science (B.E Computer) from a recognized university and 3 years of experience in Systems Analysis/Programming/Software Development. Preference will be given to employees with the above mentioned qualifications currently working in the Information and Technology Department of the Municipal Corporation.

Hardware Engineer: AICTE recognized degree in Computer Engineering (B.E. Computer) from a recognized university and 3 years of experience in computer maintenance and repair OR Diploma in Computer Hardware from a recognized university and 5 years of experience. Preference will be given to the employees with the above mentioned qualifications currently working in the Information and Technology Department of the Municipal Corporation.

Data Manager: AICTE recognized degree in Computer Science (B.E Computer) from a recognized university and 3 years of experience in System Analysis/Programming/Software Development. Preference will be given to employees with the above mentioned qualifications currently working in the Information and Technology Department of the Municipal Corporation.

Programmer: Diploma in Computer Science from a recognized university and 1 year of experience in Systems Analysis/Programming/Software Development. Preference will be given to employees with the above mentioned qualifications currently working in the Information and Technology Department of the Municipal Corporation.

About Nagpur Municipal Corporation

Nagpur Municipal Corporation Logo

The Municipal Council for Nagpur was established in 1864. At that time, the area under the jurisdiction of the Nagpur Municipal Council was 15.5 sq. km and the population was 82,000.

The duties entrusted to the Nagpur Municipal Council were to maintain cleanliness and arrange for street lights and water supply with government assistance. In 1922, the Central Provinces & Berar Municipalities Act was framed for the proper functioning of the Municipal Council.

On 22nd January 1950, CP & Berar Act No. 2 was published in the Madhya Pradesh Gazette which is known as the City of Nagpur Corporation Act, 1948 (CNC Act). The Municipal Corporation came into existence in March 1951. The first development plan of the city was prepared in 1953. In the year 1956, under the state reconstitution, the Berar Province merged into the Maharashtra State with Mumbai being recognized as its capital; in 1960, Nagpur was declared as the second capital of the state.
