The Authority proposes to appoint 1 (one) Project Coordinator in Environment and Rehabilitation wing of NCA to assist Member (E&R) in the field level monitoring, evaluation and documentation of Environmental and Social Safeguard Measures implemented for construction of Sardar Sarovar Dam and Narmada Main Canal. i. The post of Project Co-ordinator is purely temporary and on contractual basis for 02 years, may be extended on the basis of his/her satisfactory performance and organisational requirement. 1. Post Name: Project Coordinator 2. No of Post: 01 3. Consolidated pay of Rs.60,000/-pm + HRA (As per the Central Govt. norms applicable in the city where he/she is posted) 4. Qualification: Post Graduate or equivalent from a recognised University/ lnstitute in Environmental Science/Natural Science/ Environmental Manage- ment/Sustainable Development/ Social Science/ Sociology/ Develop- mental Studies/Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Agriculture/ Remote Sens- ing & GIS/Geo-informatics/other allied subjects; with minimum 3 years professional /research experi- ence in relevant field.

The Narmada Control Authority (NCA) has been setup under the final orders and decision of the Narmada Water Disputes Tribunal (NWDT) as a machinery for implementation of its directions and decision. The authority started functioning from 20th December, 1980. The authority is a body corporate with representatives of the four States of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and representatives of Govt. Of India. The authority is funded in equal proportions by all the four states. Secretary (Water Resources), Govt. of India is the ex-officio Chairman of the Authority, whereas the routine administration is the responsibility of Executive Member of the Authority. NCA presently has six subgroups. The Narmada Control Authority has its headquarters at Indore.
