2. Vacancy Details

The total number of posts is 4. The distribution across posts and categories is as follows:

Junior Engineer-C (Post No. 1)

• Pay Scale/Salary: Level-6 (As per 7th CPC)
• Age Limit: Maximum 30 years

Technician-D (Post No. 2)

• Number of Posts: 01 (Initially posting at Kolkata Centre)
• Pay Scale/Salary: Level-4 (As per 7th CPC)
• Age Limit: Maximum 25 years

3. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification & Experience

A. For Junior Engineer-C (Post 1):

• Option 1: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (01 post) or Electronics Engineering (02 posts) with minimum 60% marks.
• Experience: 4 years of working experience in an academic research / industrial organization.
• Option 2: B.Sc. with Physics with minimum 60% marks.
• Experience: 4 years of working experience in an academic research / industrial organization in mechanical/electronics departments.
• Desirable: Diploma in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering with relevant working experience.

B. For Technician-D (Post 2):

• Qualification: ITI in Electrical/Electronics trade.
• Experience: 4 years of relevant experience of working in an academic research / industrial organization.

Age Limit & Relaxation

• Age as on: The age limit is calculated as of the last date of receipt of the online application (06/03/2026).
• Junior Engineer: Normal Maximum Age: 30 years.
• Technician: Normal Maximum Age: 25 years.
• Age Relaxation: Applicable as per GoI rules for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) and candidates working in Govt./Semi. Govt./Autonomous Bodies. Proof must be submitted in prescribed format.

Mandatory Requirements

• Documents: Self-attested copies of mark sheets/certificates must be sent with the hard copy application. Originals required at the time of Test/Interview.
• NOC: Candidates employed in Govt/Semi-Govt/Autonomous Bodies must forward applications through proper channel with a "No Objection Certificate (NOC)" and vigilance clearance.
• Reservation: The position is reserved for Specially Abled Persons (OH, VI, HH). Candidates of other categories of disabilities may also apply if the specific category is not available.

4. Selection Process

The selection process involves the following stages:

1. Screening/Shortlisting: Based on fulfillment of eligibility and higher benchmark criteria set by the Institute.
2. Written Test / Skill Test / Trade Test / Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for this stage.
3. Verification: Original documents verification at the time of joining.

Important Notes on Selection

• Venue: Tests/Interviews will be conducted at the Head Office (Indore) or other Centres/Nodes (Mumbai, Kolkata, Kalpakkam, Bhubaneswar).
• No TA/DA: No travel allowance shall be paid to candidates.
• Final Decision: The Institute's decision in all matters is final.
