National Centre for Integrated Pest Management (NCIPM) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), India was established in February 1988. It was founded to cater to the plant protection needs of different agro-ecological zones of India. In spite of a large expert workforce across different plant protection disciplines, there are still epidemics of pests on different crops in the recent past with the chronic pest problems.
