Subject: Photocatalyst Device Development Towards Large Scale Solar Conversion Of CO2 + H2O To Value Added Products

Applications are invited online for filling up of position on a purely temporary basis, in the prescribed proforma. The details of the Sponsored Project under which engagement is proposed to be made is as under.

5. Minimum prescribed educational Qualifications: Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; and (ii) Four(4) years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services; OR ME /M.Tech in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent with TWO years’ experience in R&D in industrial and Academic Institutions or S&T Organizations and Scientific activities and services; OR Doctoral Degree in Science/Engineering/Technology/Pharma/MD/MS from a recognized University or equivalent Those who want to apply for post code 1 and 2, should submit separate applications online.

6. Desirable experience, if any : PhD completed in Chemistry/Physics. One year PostDoctoral experience in device making and/or carrying out experiments with electrochemical and/or photoelectrochemical methods. Publications/patent record for the same to be provided with application/biodata/CV for active consideration. Those have PhD with Organic Chemistry, Biotechnology and other not relevant areas to the project may not apply as they will not be considered.

7. Job requirement : The candidates must possess knowledge and experience on electrochemistry, thin film device making and through characterization with advanced analytical methods for mechanistic understanding. Preference will be given to those candidates who have proven track record through publications/patents in the relevant research area of the project.

8. Consolidated emoluments per month : (i) 42,000/- + HRA

5. Minimum prescribed educational Qualifications: Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; and (ii) Two(2) years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services

6. Desirable experience, if any : ME Chemical Engineering candidates are preferred. Two years experience in handling lab scale experimentation and possibly large scale operations. Good knowledge of VLE analysis and process simulations

7. Job requirement : Will be involved in synthesis of large scale photocatalyst devices. To perform mass and component balance for the experiments. Candidate will be involved in developing Process flow diagram and simulation model for VLE analysis. Candidate should have a passion to work in direct sunlight, since many experiments needs to be carried out in direct sunlight. Those who have skin-allergies may remember this point, before submitting their application.

8. Consolidated emoluments per month : (i) 35,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship(Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.(ii) 28,000/- + HRA for others who do not

Selection Procedure

1. Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear before the Selection Committee for an interview before at Room No.158, Catalysis Division Meeting Room, NCL Main Building. Shortlisted candidate will be informed via email on or before 06/04/2022

2. Interview will be conducted on 08/04/2022 from 10:00 AM onward.

3. No interview call letter will be issued separately. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview. Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer of engagement.
