Educational Qualification:
Junior Special Education Teacher:
1.
a) Graduate and Diploma in Special Education (MR) or equivalent with 2 years experience of working with children with mental retardation . OR
b) B.Ed. in Special Education (MR) OR
c) BRS(MR) with specialization in Special Education
2. RCI registration as personnel/professional in Special Education (MR).
Assistant Professor: Two-year M.Phil in Clinical Psychology or Rehabilitation Psychology from reputed institutions such as NIMHANS, Bangalore, CIP Ranchi and NIMH, Secunderabad etc (or) Ph.D in Child/Experimental /Community/Social/Educat ional Psychology as per the requirement of the particular position available for recruitment.
Information & Documentation Officer:
1. Degree of a recognized university.
2. Degree in Library science.
3. 10 years experience in a reasonable capacity in research institute or university.
Lecturer:
1. Master’s in Social Work or M.A in Social Sciences or M.Ed in Special Education (Intellectual Disability/Mental Retardation)/ Masters in Disability Rehabilitation Administration (MDRA).
2. Diploma in vocational Rehabilitation (Intellectual Disability/Mental Retardation) or Diploma in Vocational Training and Employment (Intellectual Disabilities/Mental Retardation) recognized by RCI.
3. Two years’ experience of working in the field of Disability and Rehabilitation.
4. Should possess valid RCI certificate.
Rehabilitation Therapist: Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Retardation/Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation Therapy/Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation Services (Mental Retardation) OR Postgraduate Diploma in Early Intervention OR Postgraduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology.
Stenographer: 1. SSLC/Matriculation or equivalent examination 2. Typewriting (English) 40 W.P.M3. Shorthand (English) 100 W.P.M.
Receptionist and Telephone Operator: 1. SSC/ Matriculation. 2. English Typewriting Lower Grade (30 w.p.m) 3. One year experience of operating electronic PABX telephone system.

About National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities
The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Govt. of India is working and aiming for the empowerment of persons with disabilities since its commencement. This ministry is serving the disabled through its seven delivery models. These are conducting awareness, sensitization and HRD programs, undertaking research & development, providing assistive devices and livelihood for persons with disabilities (PwD) in the year 1980 which reinforces the idea of serving disabled. The United Nation declared decade for disabilities (1982-1992), which led to the advent of the most of the National Institutions. These Institutes started earlier, were working for the persons with Disabilities of different individual categories (single disabilities). The decade between 1993-2002 was declared as the Asia pacific decade of the disabled persons. Further extended as extension of Asia Pacific decade for the disabled 2003-2013.
National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities was established by governmnet of India for providing various services to persons with multiple disabilities.
