The National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (Divyangjan) (NIEPID), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, has released Employment Notice No. 01/2026. NIEPID is inviting applications to fill 35 contractual posts across its headquarters in Secunderabad, Telangana and its Regional/Composite Regional Centres in Noida (UP), Davangere (Karnataka), Nellore (Andhra Pradesh), and Rajnandgaon (Chhattisgarh).

This recruitment is for Direct Recruitment based on a Personal Interview process conducted by an appropriate committee. In cases where more than 20 applications are received for a single post, a written screening exam may be conducted followed by an interview.

Educational Qualification

• Assistant Professor (Pediatrics/PMR/Speech/Special Ed/Clinical Psychology): Post-Graduate degree (MD/M.Ed/M.Phil/Master's) in relevant specialty from a recognized university. RCI/MCI Registration mandatory where applicable. Teaching/Research experience required (2-5 years depending on post).
• Consultant Neurologist: MBBS, MD with DM in Neurology.
• Consultant Psychologist: M.Phil in Clinical Psychology recognized by RCI with 1 year experience.
• Special Education Teacher: Graduate with Diploma/B.Ed in Special Education (MR) & RCI Registration.
• Nursing Staff: B.Sc. Nursing with 2 years clinical experience.
• Administrative Officer: Post Graduate Degree/MBA with 5 years experience in Govt/Autonomous bodies.
• Therapists (OT/PT/ASLP): Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in relevant therapy with RCI registration and experience.
• CDEIC Posts: Specific degrees like B.O.T, B.P.T, M.Sc (DS), PGDEI, B.Ed SE(ID) with relevant experience and RCI registration.

Age Limit & Relaxation

• Maximum Age: 56 Years for all posts.
• Age Calculation Date: Age is reckoned as on the closing date of application (06.04.2026).
• Age Relaxation: No specific relaxation mentioned in the notification for SC/ST/OBC as the maximum age is already 56 years. However, standard government rules may apply for specific categories if applicable (candidates should verify).

Mandatory Requirements

• Registration: Valid RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) or MCI (Medical Council of India) registration is mandatory for medical and paramedical posts as on the last date of application.

Selection Process

This is a Direct Recruitment process based on Interviews.

• Screening: If more than 20 applications are received for a post, a written examination will be conducted first to shortlist candidates.
• Interview: Shortlisted candidates (ratio 1:5 per vacancy) will be called for a Personal Interview by an appropriate committee.
• Final Selection: Based on interview performance (and written test if applicable).

• SC/ST/Women/PH: No Fee.
• Mode of Payment: Demand Draft (DD) only. DD must be drawn in favour of "Director, NIEPID, Secunderabad" payable at Secunderabad/Hyderabad.
