ICMR-National Institute of Medical Statistics, New Delhi intends to engage following project human resource positions, purely on temporary contract basis for its research project HIV Sentinel Surveillance, funded by National AIDS Control Organization (NACO). New Delhi and being undertaken at ICMR-NIMS for the period up to March 31, 2023. 1. Post Name: Data Programmer (UR) 2. No. of Post: 01 3. Essential Qualification: Master s degree in Statistics/Mathematics/Compu ter science/Computer Application/Public Health from a recognized University. 4. Essential Experiences: One year of experience on health data management and analysis using software packages such as SPSS, STATA, and R 5. Salary: Rs.30.8 10 (Fixed) per month

Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee the selection.

3. Applications received within the stipulated date, time and complete in all respects will only be screened by the screening committee of ICMR-NIMS to shortlist candidates for further process of engaging the above scientific project human resource positions. Candidature of successful candidates shall be subject to verification of all original documents by ICMR-NIMS and fulfilment of required eligibility criteria in all respects of qualification, age and experience, etc.

ICMR-National Institute for Research in Digital Health supports excellence in the development, application through the technical consultation and research, education, publications, dissemination and advocacy. Our members serve in government and academia, advancing research and promoting sound practice to inform public policy and improve human welfare.
It is one of the 26 permanent institutes of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi and has been known as National Institute for Research in Digital Health and Data Science(NIRDHDS) from 10th April 2024. The erstwhile National Institute for Research in Medical Statistics (NIMS) came into existence in the year 2005 before it known as Institute for research in medical statistics(IRMS) came into existence in the year 1977 the mandate to provide technical expertise on research methodology, programme evaluation, mathematical modelling, data analysis etc. It also provides technical assistance to institutes throughout india.
The tremendous involvement in the areas of medical digital health , bio-medical and bio-behavioral research, surveillance of communicable and non-communicable diseases, epidemiology, nutrition research, reproductive and child health and cancer research necessitated the renaming of the IRMS as NIMS and NIMS as NIRDHDS. The move enhanced not only the status of the Institute but also enabled it to develop e-database of health sector reforms in India apart from strengthening its resources base and capacity building.
