Interested candidates are invited to attend walk-in-interview for the post of "Project Technical Officer" with the following Qualification to be filled up in ICMR project on "Identifying priority population to ensure covID-19 vaccine equity in India: A mixed-method comprehensive study", at 1CMR National Institute of Medical Statistics (NIMS), ICMR, New Delhi

5. Essential Qualification(s): Graduation in social science/public health/ population studies/ health psychology/ community health/ sociology from a recognized university with five years of experience in health research OR Master's degree in social science/public health/ population studies/ health psychology/ community health/sociology from a recognized university.
6. Desirable: Prior experience in conducting community based health survey and proficiency in communication (speaking) in local language. Prior experience of data entry and data analysis using SPSS/STATA etc.

(d) One-self attested recent passport size photograph
(e) ID Proof (Ex. PAN/Voter ID/Driving License etc.)
(f) One set of self-attested photocopies of all documents.
(g) SC/ST/OBC/PWD Certificates, if applicable.
(h) Candidates should submit all certifications/testimonials in original for verification. Candidates who fail to bring the original certificates will not be entertained to attend Walk - In - Interview.

ICMR-National Institute for Research in Digital Health supports excellence in the development, application through the technical consultation and research, education, publications, dissemination and advocacy. Our members serve in government and academia, advancing research and promoting sound practice to inform public policy and improve human welfare.
It is one of the 26 permanent institutes of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi and has been known as National Institute for Research in Digital Health and Data Science(NIRDHDS) from 10th April 2024. The erstwhile National Institute for Research in Medical Statistics (NIMS) came into existence in the year 2005 before it known as Institute for research in medical statistics(IRMS) came into existence in the year 1977 the mandate to provide technical expertise on research methodology, programme evaluation, mathematical modelling, data analysis etc. It also provides technical assistance to institutes throughout india.
The tremendous involvement in the areas of medical digital health , bio-medical and bio-behavioral research, surveillance of communicable and non-communicable diseases, epidemiology, nutrition research, reproductive and child health and cancer research necessitated the renaming of the IRMS as NIMS and NIMS as NIRDHDS. The move enhanced not only the status of the Institute but also enabled it to develop e-database of health sector reforms in India apart from strengthening its resources base and capacity building.
