1. Position: Junior Research Fellow
2. Essential qualification: 1st Class M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Nutrition (from a recognized University)
3. Areas of research: Toxic role of Lead (Pb2+) in the progression of Alzheimer's Disease and dysregulation of mitochondria function in vitro mechanisms.
4. Stipend: As per rules of ICMR / CSIR / DBT / UGC.

National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as 'Beri-Beri' Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. In 1928, It emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr McCarrison being appointed as its first Director. NIN was was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.
