Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications (Medical)
- A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule, or Part II of the third schedule, of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 (candidates with Part II third schedule qualifications must also fulfil the conditions of Section 13(3) of the Act).
- Must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.
- A postgraduate degree, i.e., MD/MS/DNB as per MCI rule in the specialty concerned, or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institute.
- Candidates must hold a valid qualification (pass certificate) as on the last date for receipt of applications.

Dual (Medical/Non-Medical) Eligibility Departments
For Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Clinical Immunology, and Endocrinology, candidates may apply through either the medical (MD/DNB) or the non-medical (M.Sc./M.Biotech + Ph.D.) route.
Age Limit
- Upper Age Limit: 45 years as on the crucial date.
- No age relaxation for reserved category candidates applying against unreserved vacancies.
Application Fee: ₹1000 + 18% GST (₹1180) for all categories except PwBD/SC/ST (exempted). Fee payable via NEFT.

Selection Process
- Walk-in Interview: Candidates must report in person at the Administrative Block, 3rd Floor, AIIMS Bilaspur, Kothipura, Himachal Pradesh on 21 August 2026 on or before 9:00 AM. Reporting after 10:00 AM will not be allowed.
- Document Verification: Original certificates will be verified before the interview.
- Screening: The Screening Committee may shortlist candidates for the interview based on original document verification.

About AIIMS Bilaspur
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bilaspur (Himachal Pradesh), an Institute of National Importance was officially approved, under Phase-V of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), by Union Cabinet on December 04, 2019. The Institute was approved to be established over a span of about 247 acres (99.96 hectares) of land on National Highway - 205 (Shimla-Kangra / Shimla Ghumarwin road), in the village of Kothipura, District Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. AIIMS Bilaspur is set up with objectives of correcting regional imbalances in the availability of affordable/reliable tertiary healthcare services and also augmenting facilities for quality medical education in the country. It intends to develop patterns of teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of medical education to all medical colleges and other allied institutions in India.
