Skills / Eligibility
Applications are invited from eligible candidates by speed post for the following post under the project entitled "Determination of prophylactic oral iron supplementation response among adolescent girls with iron deficiency anemia" funded by ICMR. 1. Post Name: Project Technician-III 2. No of Post: 01 3. Qualification: 12th pass in science subjects and 2 years Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT) OR 12th pass in science subjects and 1 year DMLT and 1-year lab experience B.Sc degree shall be treated as 3 years experience 4. Desirable: 2-3 years work experience as phlebotomist and experience on automated analyzers is an added asset. 5. Nature of Duties: Venous blood sample collection in social welfare residential educational institutions. Assisting the Project Assistant in field and laboratory experiments. 6. Cons. Emoluments: Rs. 18,000/- p.m. fixed without any allowances. 7. Tenure: 2 years 8. Place of work: ICMR-NIN and travel to educational institutions located at a distance of 20-30 km from ICMR-NIN 9. Selection Procedure
1. After verification of the applications, the names of eligible candidates list will be displayed on the official website www.nin.res.in
2. The applications are shortlisted for the interview based on the decision of the selection committee as per the project requirements
3. Interviews will be conducted for the shortlisted candidates through online (Video call/ Video-Conferencing) to select of suitable candidate in later course
4. The candidates have to make their own arrangements for Video Call/ Video-Conferencing facilities for Online Interviews
5. The link will be sent to the shortlisted candidates for online interviews

How to Apply:
1. The last date for receiving of applications will be 21 days from the date 10 JAN 2022 of uploading the advertisement in ICMR-NIN and ICMR websites or as on Applications received after due date will not be considered under any circumstances.

National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as 'Beri-Beri' Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. In 1928, It emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr McCarrison being appointed as its first Director. NIN was was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.
