Eligibility Criteria for SBI Trade Finance Officer 2026

Educational Qualification

Mandatory: Graduate (any discipline) from a Government recognized University or Institution, AND Certification in Forex Operations from IIBF (certificate dated on or before 31.07.2026).

Preferred (additional): Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS) by LIBF / Certificate for Specialists in Demand Guarantees (CSDG) by LIBF / Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP) by ICC Academy OR Global Trade Certificate (GTC) by ICC Academy / Certificate in International Trade Finance (CITF) by LIBF / Certificate in International Trade Finance (IIBF).

Experience

• JMGS I: Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in Trade Finance processing and operations in officer/official role in any scheduled commercial bank (preferably as a maker).
• MMGS II: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in Trade Finance processing in officer/official role in any scheduled commercial bank.

Age Limit (as on 31.07.2026)

• JMGS I: 21 to 30 years
• MMGS II: 23 to 32 years

Selection Process – Shortlisting & Interview

The selection for SBI Specialist Cadre Officers will be done through shortlisting followed by an interview. No written exam is planned.

• Shortlisting: Based on qualifications and experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
• Interview: 100 marks; qualifying marks will be decided by the bank.
