Applications are invited on prescribed format (On-line) for the temporary post of " Junior Research Fellow (JRF) /” for the Project entitled “SNP mediated changes in the structure of VPS26A mRNA and its implications in the etiology of Diabetes.” Selected candidate may enroll in PhD Programme in the Department of Life Science, National Institute of Technology Rourkela based on Institute norms and regulations.

4. Name of the Research: Project “SNP mediated changes in the structure of VPS26A mRNA and its implications in the etiology of Diabetes”.

5. Tenure of the Project: 03 Years (Jan. 2022 – Dec. 2025) (based on the performance) OR completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

6. Tenure of the Assignment: 03 Years (based on the performance) OR completion of the project, whichever is earlier

7. Job Description: To carry out research work & experiments related to the project.

8. Consolidated monthly compensation / Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- pm (for first 2 years) Rs. 35,000/- pm (till project end-date)

9. Essential Qualifications and experience:

a) M.Sc./M.Tech (or equivalent) in Life Science/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Biological Sciences/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Zoology/ Animal Science / Genetics OR any other related branch of biological science with minimum 60% of marks or 6.5 CGPA in 10 point scale.

b) Valid GATE or NET score

10. Desirable Qualifications / Exp. Prior experience in animal cell culture/ RNAi/ molecular biology techniques (PCR, RT-PCR, Western Blotting, Immunofluorescence, Electrophoresis.
