Applications are invited on prescribed format (On-line) for the temporary post of "Research Assistant” for the Project entitled “Measuring poverty and inequality through the lens of social protection programmes: A study in Koraput, Bolangir and Kalahandi districts of Odisha.”
1. Position: Research Assistant - 01
2. Name of the Research Project: Measuring poverty and inequality through the lens of social protection programmes: A study in Koraput, Bolangir and Kalahandi districts of Odisha.
3. Tenure of the Project: 02 years (from April 2022 to April 2024)
4. Tenure of the Assignment: Initial for a period of one year (Extendable to two years upon satisfactory performance)
5. Job Description: To carry out the research work (Literature survey, Field study, data analysis, report writing and publications)
6. Consolidated monthly compensation / Fellowship: INR 16,000/- per month
7. Essential Qualifications and experience: Ph.D./M.Phil. /Post graduate in social science discipline with minimum 55% marks
8. Desirable Qualifications / Exp.: NET / SLET/M.Phil. and 1-2 years research experience

Selection Procedure
Mere possession of minimum qualification does not guarantee invitation to the interview. Candidates will be short listed based on merit and need of the project.

2. Place of Interview: Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, NIT Rourkela
3. Eligible candidates may apply within 28.04.2022, 2359 HRS. The candidates are required to send the complete filled up application form (Soft copy) to [email protected].
4. The application form is available in the following link: http://nitrkl.ac.in/oldwebsite/ Jobs_Tenders/5ProjectFellowships/Doc/JRF%20LS-PND-64(2).pdf which must be filled by candidates and also required to attach photocopies of all supporting documents, research papers (if any) etc.
5. Candidates will build a Single PDF file; it is to be sent to Principal Investigator ([email protected]) on or before 28.04.2022, 2359 HRS.
6. The candidates are also required to produce relevant documents mentioned in the application form [such as original of all mark sheets and certificates, research papers (if any), experience certificate (if any) etc.] at the time of interview / joining.
7. Selection / Joining will be canceled in case of any suppression of information / document provided earlier.
