Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Mandatory: The candidate must be an accomplished professional in the field, comparable to at least the top one-third of regular faculty.
• Qualification: The notification does not specify a strict minimum educational qualification. For candidates from industry or research organizations, a Post-graduate or Ph.D. degree may not be essential.
• Experience: Normally, at least 10 years of experience in the relevant field is required. For emerging/cutting-edge technologies, persons with more than 5 years of experience can also be considered.
• Eligible Candidates: Serving and retired scientists, engineers, academicians, practitioners, IAS/IPS officials, and professionals from reputed PSUs, R&D organizations, and overseas academic institutions.
• Industry Experience: Private industry experience is considered if the company is incorporated under the Indian Companies Act of 1956.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. Short-listing: Applications will be shortlisted using criteria higher than those advertised, varying by department.
2. Presentation & Interview: Shortlisted candidates must appear before the Selection Committee on a date and venue notified separately.
3. Document Verification: Verification of original documents at the time of interview.
4. Medical Examination: Candidates must be declared fit by the Institute's Medical Board/Medical Officer.
5. Screening Clause: Meeting the advertised requirements does not automatically entitle a candidate to an interview. The institute may restrict the number of candidates.
6. TA/DA: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
