Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
• Essential Qualification (for Temporary Teaching Staff):
  • B.E. / B.Tech in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering and M.E. / M.Tech with Ph.D.
  • Candidates holding a Direct Ph.D. after B.Tech are also eligible.
  • The candidate must have obtained First Class in both the Bachelor's degree and the Master's degree.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Candidates will be selected based on a Direct Walk-in Interview scheduled at the Department of Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, NIT Srinagar, Hazratbal, Srinagar.
• Candidates are required to bring original documents for verification during the interview.
• The competent authority reserves the absolute right to select or reject any candidate without assigning any reason.
• Canvassing in any form will render a candidate ineligible.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.

Service Conditions & Employment Nature

• The engagement is purely temporary for a duration of 11 months or until a regular faculty member joins the department, whichever is earlier.
• Selected candidates must sign an agreement to abide by the terms and conditions set by the Institute.
• Immediate joining and physical presence at the posting station are mandatory.
• NIT Srinagar does not provide accommodation; selected candidates must arrange their own stay.
• This engagement confers no right to claim continuation of employment or a permanent post in the future.
