The National Institute of Technology Warangal (NITW) has released an official notification for the recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in Metallurgical, Materials, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering to work on a research project.

Vacancy Details

Eligibility for Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Essential:
  1. M.E./M.Tech. or M.Sc. (Engineering/Science) in Metallurgical / Materials / Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering or Materials Science / Physics (with materials specialization). Minimum 60% marks or CGPA ≥ 6.5 at both UG and PG.
  OR
  2. B.E./B.Tech. in Metallurgical / Materials / Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering with at least 60% marks or CGPA ≥ 6.5 in UG and strong academic record and research aptitude.
• Desirable: GATE/NET qualification is desirable but NOT mandatory. Background in High-temperature materials, aeroengine alloys, Creep, fatigue, oxidation, Mechanical testing at elevated temperatures, Microstructural characterization (SEM, EBSD, XRD, TEM). Experience with High-temperature furnaces, Mechanical testing machines, Metallography, Basic knowledge of data analysis.
• Experience: Experience with mechanical testing, metallography, and technical report writing is preferred. Willingness to travel for project-related activities.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on an Interview. The list of shortlisted candidates and the interview date will be displayed on the institute website. The mode of the interview will be offline.
