Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Professor: Ph.D. in the respective discipline with First Class in preceding degrees. Experience: As per Schedule ‘E’ of the Statutes of NITs and GoI recruitment rules.
- Associate Professor: Ph.D. in the respective discipline with First Class in preceding degrees. Experience: As per Schedule ‘E’ of the Statutes of NITs and GoI recruitment rules.
- Assistant Professor Grade I: Ph.D. in the respective discipline with First Class in preceding degrees. Experience: As per Schedule ‘E’ of the Statutes of NITs and GoI recruitment rules.
- Assistant Professor Grade II: Ph.D. in the respective discipline with First Class in preceding degrees. Experience: As per Schedule ‘E’ of the Statutes of NITs and GoI recruitment rules.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
The selection process involves screening of applications based on eligibility, followed by an interview (which may include a presentation on research and teaching). No TA/DA will be paid for the interview process.
Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates
- Matriculation / 10th Standard or equivalent certificate as Age Proof.
- Higher Secondary / Class XII (or equivalent) board marksheet.
- Degree certificates of UG and PG along with marksheets for all academic years.
- Ph.D. degree or Provisional Certificate or Notification of Ph.D. award.
- Category Certificate (SC/ST, OBC-NCL issued on or after 1 April 2026, EWS Income and Asset Certificate for Financial Year 2026–2027) in Government of India format, if applicable.

- Photo Identity Card issued by a Government agency or last attended institution.
- Experience Certificate(s) from the Head(s) of Organization(s) indicating Pay Level, Basic Pay, duration, and duties.
- Research Statement and Teaching Statement.
