Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Research Associate (1 Vacancy)

  • Postgraduate degree in Law (LL.M.) from a recognized Indian or foreign university with a good academic record.
  • Demonstrated understanding of doctrinal and empirical research methodologies.
  • Knowledge of substantive and procedural international human rights law.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and other research tools.
  • Desirable: Prior experience of working on a research project in public international law, international human rights law, criminal law, or fundamental rights.

Field Researchers (2 Vacancies)

  • Graduate degree in Law or Social Sciences from a recognised Indian or foreign university with a good academic record.
  • Demonstrated understanding of qualitative and empirical research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in English, including strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and other research and documentation tools.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of statistics and/or experience with data collection, analysis, and documentation.
  • Desirable: Prior experience in field research, stakeholder consultations, or research projects in law, human rights, social sciences, or related areas.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Stage 1 – Application Screening: Candidates will be shortlisted based on an assessment of their application and submitted materials (Résumé, degree copies, motivation statement, and supporting documents).
  • Stage 2 – Online Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for online interviews. Interview date will be notified separately by NLUD.
